CMS implemented the Medicare Resource Based Relative Value Scale (RBRVS) in 1992. Today, most insurers use RBRVS as a basis for their fee schedules. Yet, busy practice administrators and physicians may have never learned how to calculate what a payer allows for a provided service. Get answers to all these questions: What are relative value units?
