The ABCs of Medicare Reimbursement: Protect Your Practice’s Revenue

CMS implemented the Medicare Resource Based Relative Value Scale (RBRVS) in 1992. Today, most insurers use RBRVS as a basis for their fee schedules. Yet, busy practice administrators and physicians may have never learned how to calculate what a payer allows for a provided service. Get answers to all these questions: What are relative value units? How do I GPCI-adjust payment for my location? What is a facility differential? What is this year’s conversion factor?
Learning Objectives:
After this FREE webinar you will obtain 1 CEU and be able to:
  • Calculate locality-specific Medicare payments for physician services
  • Understand work RVUs and other features of the fee schedule that affect payment
  • Find the fee schedules for the exceptions to RBRVS, such as lab, HCPCS, immunizations and commercial payer anesthesia reimbursement
